Evolution of Books & Reading

Since man has been able to write , books have played an important role in sharing information among mankind . As time has passed , the ways in which information from books is obtained has changed. In the past, books would be hand written and would be in limited quantity. This meant that very few people could read these books and access their information.

When the printing press was invented, it became possible for books to become mass produced and so more people were able to obtain and read books. This caused books to become a popular method of sharing and recording information. People would read books for entertainment, reference and study.

As the modern age began and technology improved, it became possible to read books on a screen. Currently, it has become popular to read books on a tablet. This has the advantage of a user being able to carry multiple books at one time within their tablet. Although this modern method of reading is popular, some people still prefer the feeling of using a printed paper book. Regardless of which method people use, it is certain that books will remain an important source of information for human society.
