Lionel Andres Messi

Lionel Andres Messi commonly known as Lionel Messi is a professional Argentinian football player who plays as a forward in the Spanish football club FCBarcelona and for the Argentina National team. He is often considered the best player in the world and rated by many in the sport as the greatest of all time, Messi is the only football player in history to win five FIFA Ballons d'Or, four of which he won consecutively, and the first player to win three European Golden Shoes. With Barcelona he has won eight La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles, as well as four Copa del Rey.

Messi holds the records for most goals scored in La Ligaa La Liga season , a calendar year, a single season, a Champions League match, and most Champions League seasons. Despite being injury-prone during his early career, he established himself as an integral player for the club within the next three years, finishing 2007 as a finalist for both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award. At 22 years old, Messi won the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year award by record voting margins.

Three successful seasons followed, with Messi winning three consecutive FIFA Ballons d'Or, including an unprecedented fourth. His personal best campaign to date was the 2011–12 season, in which he set the La Liga and European records for most goals scored in a single season, while establishing himself as Barcelona's all-time top scorer in official competitions in March 2012. He again struggled with injury during the following two seasons, twice finishing second for the Ballon d'Or behind Cristiano Ronaldo, his perceived career rival. Messi regained his best form during the 2014–15 campaign, breaking the all-time goalscoring records in both La Liga and the Champions League in November 2014, and led Barcelona to a historic second treble.

As an Argentine international, Messi has represented his country in six major tournaments. At youth level, he won the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, finishing the tournament as its best player and top scorer, and an Olympic gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. His style of playing left-footed dribbler drew comparisons with compatriot Diego Maradona. After making his senior debut in August 2005, Messi became the youngest Argentine to play and score in a FIFA World Cup during the 2006 edition, and reached the final of the 2007 Copa América, where he was named young player of the tournament. As the squad's captain since August 2011, he led Argentina to the finals of the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 Copa América, and both times was selected as player of the tournament.

Superstitions

Oh, Hi there didn't see you. So today I am going to be sharing with some very BIZARRE SUPERSTTIONES FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

In Brazil...

It's bad luck to let your wallet or purse hit the floor, as it means you will lose money.

In China...
The number 4 and all iterations thereof (14, 24, etc.) are incredibly unlucky, as the Chinese pronunciation of the number is nearly identical to that of the Chinese pronunciation of the word "death.

In Denmark...

Broken dishes are collected and saved year-round, to be thrown at the houses of friends and family on New Year's Eve. The bigger the pile of porcelain, the more good fortune they will have in the New Year.

In Egypt...

It's viewed as frightfully bad luck to open and close scissors without cutting anything, and even worse to leave them open. However, the Egyptians also believe that scissors under a pillow can cure a person of their nightmares.

In France...

It is good luck to step in dog poop with your left foot, but bad luck to step on it with your right foot.

In Greece...

They have their own version of "jinx." When two people say the same thing at the same time, they must instead utter "Piase Kokkino" (touch red) and touch the color red to avoid the otherwise inevitable fight.

In Haiti...

Life's treacherous for a mom. For example, if you walk with only one shoe on, sweep the floor at night, move around on your knees, or eat the tops of watermelons and/or grapefruits... then you may have already brought about the untimely death of your mother.

In Japan...

Children are warned to hide their stomachs during thunderstorms, especially before sleeping. It is believed that if you are not careful, Raijin (the god of thunder) will steal and eat your belly button during a storm.

In Korea...

Especially in South Korea, it is believed that running a fan in a closed room while sleeping will kill you.

In Lithuania...

Whistling indoors is forbidden since it is believed that doing so will summon wee devils that will terrorize you.

In Malaysia...

Sitting on a pillow will cause your butt and backside to be covered in boils, blisters, and sores.

IN QATAR...

They have all but done away with superstitions, instead teaching students that such beliefs are forbidden. However, it was once believed that spiders had the power to control and extinguish house fires, so they should not be killed.

In Rwanda...

Women are taught from an early age to avoid the meat of goats, as eating it will cause them to grow beards.

In Turkey...

It's bad form to chew gum at night, as the Turkish believe that after dark, the gum essentially becomes the flesh of dead people.

In the United States...

Particularly around the state of Vermont, many 19th century farmhouses were built with slanted "witch windows," due to the commonly-held belief that witches could not fly their brooms into a tilted opening.

In Vietnam...

Many foods are avoided by students hoping to do well in school or on exams. Bananas, for example, are avoided by students because they are slippery, and the Vietnamese word for "slip" sounds exactly the same as the Vietnamese word for  "fail."

In Wales...

Making a hat out of hazel sticks and leaves and wearing it can grant you one wish.

In Yemen...

A pregnant woman can determine the gender of her unborn baby by throwing a dead snake up in the air. If the snake lands on its back, the baby will be a girl. If it lands upright, the baby will be a boy.

MUSIC

Music, can you imagine a day without music? Well I assure you that I cant. From the chirping of birds to the snoozing the alarm, the whistle f the pressure cooker to the timer on the oven. From the school assembly call to the final bell, From the honking in the traffic to the doorbell at home, everything has a sound to it. Some people describe it as noise whilst the others find it to be music to their ears. I belong to the latter category, how can one not find harmony in nature and everyday life,

music is a companion you can be with anytime, it will never leave you. Just humming a song can brighten up your spirit,it can make someone's day. Music has no language and no boundaries,it can unite warring countries and it can also help friends bond.it can put a baby to sleep and it convey different emotions without using a single word.

For many many years people have been using different instruments to create new melodies, music never grows old nor does it go out of style.

I understood music before I understood words I had my favorite melodies which as a kid I would sway on I stared learning to play the keyboard at the age of 5 and the guitar at the age of  9. It makes me feel really good when i pick up a new song or a melody. Music relaxes and refreshes me. Someday i would love to write a song its music and sing it as well. For now I think that i will make do with someone else's melody / song.🎶

TRAVEL

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page... Saint Augustine

Other than music, if there exists any other thing that really gets me excited is the idea of travelling. Family travel is a time to bond, right from the time of choosing a destination to listing out the places to visit, to shop and eat, to the additions of souvenirs to the collections that adorns are walls- travelling is in its true sense, pure magic.

Each place on earth has its own charm, its beauty and uniqueness, each trip of mine has enriched me with a great experience. Whether its the culture of the land, its food or its natural beauty, I have always come back home with a bagful of memories.

As Francis Bacon rightfully said " Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience." Travelling teaches you tolerance, it teaches you to imbibe and understand other cultures. You make friends - some for the trip/journey, some for life.

Travelling enhances your knowledge, it widens your outlook. You come back wanting to change a few things and count your blessings for the others ! like Clifton Fadiman said "When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable, it is designed to make its own people comfortable"

So the idea is to be patient and enjoy the experience. Relate to the places that measure the length and breadth of earth from the Greenwich Meridian in UK to the equator line in Kenya. From the submarine dive in Mauritius to the parasailing in Thailand, from the Land of Disney to the little known but beautiful parts of Russia, travel the world and appreciate the beauty that God has blessed this earth with ❕❕❕❕❕

Ombrophobia

Ombrophobia

Ombrophobia or Pluviophobia is the fear of rain- a fairly common anxiety disorder seen in kids and adults alike. The term Ombrophobiaoriginates from Greek ‘Ombros’ meaning “storm of rain” and phobosmeaning “fear or aversion”.

Typically, younger children are known to suffer more from Ombrophobia than adults. Some might fear very heavy rain that accompanies storm-like conditions (heavy winds, thunder and lightning), still others might be afraid of even a little light rain or drizzle.
Thus; the fear of rain might be accompanied by several different phobias like the fear of lightning and thunder (Astraphobia), fear of fog (Homichlophobia) or the fear of flooding (Antlophobia) and fear of drowning (Aquaphobia).

  • Causes of Ombrophobia
with the arrival of rain, storm-like conditions also occur. It typically gets dark as thundering clouds gather overhead, blocking the sunlight. Rain is often accompanied by lightning, thunder and flooding. Heavy rains are known to cause harm to life and property through landslides, building collapses, major power failures etc. All these negative experiences can cause one to fear rain, particularly after having directly experienced them firsthand. In the Amazon region, it rains nearly 80 inches on an average.
